Darling Update

Well I have not been the best blogger, I have been very busy with lots of amazing weddings this year and also everything else that piles up in life. I will be back in January with a beautiful new wedding website and also more fun blog posts. So for the mean time, I leave you with this video "White Nights" from my favorite new artist this year Oh Land. This album made my summer, so I hope you enjoy it too.

Darling Orange

It started with this pretty orange lipstick from Loreal called Volcanic and then a rust colored dress that I bought on Modcloth and now all I want is different shades of orange for Spring. Who knew orange could be so versatile and flattering?

The Black Keys

It's been about a month since I saw the The Black Keys live for the first time and I can't get their blues/rock hair raising sound out of my head and it's a good thing. Every song from their album Brothers is packed not just with strong vocals but also intense drums and guitar, from the two members Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney. Here is one of the songs "Too Afraid to Love You" that explains what the hype is all about.

Darling Pinata

With my best friends wedding coming up, I am so excited of putting together all the fun decorations. Some the decorations we plan on are a bright beautiful petal pinata like the one below. A company that has inspired me with their unique installations is Confetti System, they have really modernized party decorations like the pinata and tassels. Another one of my favorite things to decorate with is the tradition Mexican papel picado. I like mixing it with more modern colors and they are easy to make too. Here is a link for those DIY gals or you can buy them here. So lets get our party on now.

Darling Navajo

Feeling under the weather lately I have been cozy up with my Navajo chunky sweaters that I have been collecting from thrift stores. Its a big trend this winter but I don't think there is a need to spend too much money on it. A good place to look is your local thrift and vintage stores. I bought a couple on Etsy, which I like to pair with my infinity scarf and skinny jeans. I would like to find a Navajo print dress too but no luck so far, the search continues.
